Singapore-based KK Fund was founded in 2014 by general partners Kuan Hsu and Koichi Saito just raised its second venture fund for early-stage startup founders in Southeast Asia. KK Fund is a venture capital fund focused on investing in seed stage internet and mobile startups across Asia mostly japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
According to general partner Kuan Hsu: “We continue to see opportunities for technology startups in Southeast Asia, driven by improvements in infrastructure and regulations. Entrepreneurs in the region, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, are also maturing alongside the ecosystem which led us to launch our second venture fund.” Koichi Saito another general partner said that the new fund will help KK Fund to increase its funding $400,000-$500,000 per investment.
The firm is entirely focusing on Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and, in particular, companies within the online marketplace, fintech, and media and entertainment.
